Remembering Mars and Venus..

We - my husband and I - make it a point to visit the Saibaba temple every Thursday. Naturally, flowers and coconut are offered and a half of the coconut comes back as 'prasad'. On occasions, I get coconuts for my cooking needs too from the same shop outside the temple. One such day, I just told my husband 'Please leave the coconut in the freezer' . When I came home, I found the broken coconut still lying in the puja. Thinking he had forgotten it as usual, I went to put it into the freezer when I saw the two whole coconuts sitting there ! Didnt say a word, thinking it was his absent - mindedness. When a similar incident happened again a few days later, I began to wonder and asked him why he had done so. Didnt he know that I put the broken one in to keep it from getting spoilt ? And the water in the whole one would freeze making it difficult to even break ? His reply once again reminded me of the Mars and Venus mentality - he thought that I would want to preserve the unbroken ones for later use and would use up the broken one soon !
